When making charitable contribution decisions, BVPS employees may choose to participate in the Foundation’s Employee Giving Program. Employees may make a one-time annual gift, or spread out their gift in smaller amounts through Employee Payroll Deduction. Gifts may be designated for any giving area that the Foundation supports:
-Senior College Scholarships
-Teacher Classroom Grant Program
-Current Endowed Scholarships & Program Funds
-Specific Academic Areas
-Approved Academic Enrichment Programs
Giving is easy, and so is the Math.
$10 per month x 12 months x 300 fulltime BVPS employees = $36,000 annually for BVPS students & teachers!
How can I participate in the Foundation Employee Giving Program?
The quickest way to participate is by making a secure online contribution or signing up for a payroll deduction. You may download and complete a printed Employee Deduction form, sign, and send it to the Central Office.
What payment options are available?
Contributions can be made by credit card, check or payroll deduction.
Are contributions to the Employee Giving Program tax-deductible?
Gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.
Are payroll deduction contributions deducted on a pre-tax basis?
No. Payroll deduction gifts and pledges are deducted on an after-tax basis. You can claim the tax deduction when you file your taxes annually.
What are the benefits of payroll deduction?
Payroll deduction is a convenient way to make your gift. Just download and complete the printed gift form, indicate how much you would like to donate each pay period, and that amount will automatically be deducted from your paycheck.
Can I decide how my gift will be used?
Yes! You may make a gift to any BVPS Education Foundation approved program, school or department.
How can I start?
Simply download the Payroll Deduction form you received in your email inbox this year and follow instructions.
