The Bristol Virginia Public Schools Education Foundation has earmarked funds for use by teachers through a classroom grant process. The purpose of the grant program is to fund creative classroom projects that are not funded by usual school budgets and provide a unique and results-oriented learning experience for students. The selection is based on innovation, creativity, educational outcomes, and student benefits. Examples of funded projects include classroom supplies, new technologies, field trips, and continuing teacher education.
Mini-grants are given in the amount of $1,000 each to winning teachers.
